Chris Wallace Panned

Let’s face it, Fox News host Chris Wallace was in a no win situation.

No matter what kind of job he did, he was going to take heat for the way he did it.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow said that Wallace was partially to blame for what many are calling the worst presidential debate in history.

Deadline writes, “To put it mildly, Wallace failed to get control of the debate and spent most of it trying to tame Trump. At points Wallace even had to reassure Trump that he would like upcoming topics.

“Mr. President, please stop,” Wallace said at one point. At another, he had to remind Trump that his campaign had agreed to the rules of the debate. At one point, Wallace, exasperated, said to the president, “If you want to switch seats we can do it.”

Not able to attack Biden, Trump decided to go after Biden’s son Hunter. Wallace tried to stop him from attacking the former VP’s son, but Trump was not about to play by the rules.

Fox News anchor and debate moderator Chris Wallace issued Trump a warning: “No, Mr. President, please. You’ve asked a question.”

Before Biden was able to restart his answer, Trump continued, and again, Wallace intervened. “Mr. President, it’s an open discussion … you have raised an issue, let the vice president answer,” he said.

Biden, once more, tried to respond, and, again, Trump interrupted with more assertions about Hunter Biden and his dealings with Burisma.

Biden did not tee off on Don Jr, Eric, Baron, or Ivanka.

Many blamed Wallace for losing control, but when it comes to Trump, is control even possible?

As for Twitter, Wallace had some for and against for the job he did.
