FTVLive has been sharing with you the ratings for Nexstar’s News Nation that airs on WGN America.

While the cable newscast seems to start out OK, it bleeds viewers as it goes on.

Looking at the ratings from 9/18, according to Nielsen, News Nation’s first hour shows 119,000 total viewers and 28,000 in the demo.

Looking at the last hour of the newscast and the drop is huge. Just 39,000 in total viewers and just 10,000 people in the demo.

You would expect some drop off, but this is like falling off a cliff.

Nexstar needs to take a hard look at that last hour and try something different.
