Meredith’s WSMV (Nashville) has not renewed the contract of longtime popular Anchor Tom Randles.

"My contract expired hours ago without reaching another signed agreement," Randles posted on his Facebook page yesterday morning. "So this is a bittersweet time,” he added.

Randles then wrote, “So my attention now shifts to the future and what lies ahead.”

With the jettisoning of Randles, it now leaves WSMV with no Anchors of color on the station’s newscasts.

WSMV owner Meredith has been cash strapped and has been making cuts and also making themselves more attractive for a sale.
