It appears that former WESH (Orlando) Meteorologist Amy Sweezey is ready for her second act.

Sweezey is joining the team as a special projects producer with Growing Bolder Media.

“I’m so grateful for having had a wonderful career in television doing something that I love, and now I have a new adventure in front of me that uses the best of my experience and with a remarkable new team of innovators,” said Sweezey. “I’m looking forward to having time to do more thoughtful and in-depth work with impact.”

Growing Bolder Founder and CEO Marc Middleton said Sweezey’s experience as a communicator and natural curiosity make her a perfect fit for the media company geared toward the ages 50 and older demographic.

Sweezey follows in the footsteps of very popular WESH Anchor Wendy Chioji, who was a big part of the Growing Bolder team.

Chioji died just about a year ago after a long battle with cancer.
