Remember a while back when Donald Trump said that he was going to shut down TikTok here in the United States?

It was a big story and then it went away.

TiKTok is still online, Trump has not shut it down and the media that breathlessly reported on it has offered almost no follow up.

Today’s media is more and more like a cat with a shiny object. They are all over it for short time and then forget it.
