DNC is Good News for MSNBC
The Democratic National Convention is bringing big ratings to MSNBC.
MSNBC was again #1 across all of broadcast and cable television in total viewers during night 2 of the DNC.
The left-leaning network topped Fox News and CNN with 4.6M total viewers during prime (8pm-11pm) (vs. FOX News’ 3.5M and CNN’s 3.6M), according to Nielsen.
MSNBC says that primetime for night 2 drew a record rating for any convention night in network history, increasing viewership by +5% over Night 1, more than CNN (down -12%) and FOX News (+3%) compared to Night 1.
Fox News will get their chance to crow about the ratings when the RNC kicks off later this month.
