The Alleged Coverup in Denver
FTVLive broke the story about three anchors at Nexstar’s KDVR/KWGN in Denver testing positive for the Rona and how the station’s News Director admittingly dropped the ball.
Westword talked to some insiders at the station and they are saying that management tried to “coverup” the outbreak.
Westword, which gave full credit to FTVLive for breaking the story (Take note Stephanie, Dave, and Harry) says they contacted the station about the details of the FTVLive stories.
“When asked about the accuracy of the FTVLive pieces, neither (GM Bryon) Grandy nor news director Brian Gregory offered any pushback, and Westword's sources vouch for their content.”
Westword goes onto write:
“How does the rank-and-file feel about management now? One phrase used in communication with Westword stands out: "beyond pissed."“
Let’s hope that Nexstar corporate gets involved and tries to make the staff at the Denver stations feel as the company as a whole still cares about them and their health.
Judging by the email I’m getting from inside the station, that is certainly not the case right now. As one insider said to FTVLive, “The staff has lost all confidence in (News Director) Brian Gregory.”
Stay tuned….
