When a Station Does Good
Miami’s WSVN teamed up with a charity to help feed a lot of people in South Florida.
The Miami area has been hit hard with COVID-19 and there are a number of families that are going hungry.
WSVN teamed up with Caleb and Calder Sloan’s Awesome Foundation to distribute groceries for over 650 families in need.
This was just giving a local charity a few bucks and bragging about on the air.
Chris Sloan tells FTVLive that the station not only promoted the food giveaway, but also help setup the location and then staff from the station showed up and as Sloan says to FTVLive, “busted their assess in heat stroke weather,” helping hand out food to over 650 families.
Cars formed a long line on the freeway as people lined up to get some much needed help.
Props to WSVN for being all in when it came to helping.
