What Happens when the Inmates Run the Asylum?
Most of you report to work for a big media company, sit in a morning meeting (or Zoom into the meeting) and are told what story to cover.
Then you are told how long your story can be and if you work for a company like Sinclair, you might be told which stories must run in your newscast.
But what if there were no managers and Journalists cover the stories they wanted to cover, with no bias and no bosses?
That is the idea behind news startup '“Quick Hits News.”
A group of former network news correspondents and producers recently started the daily news organization and is delivering the news that want to deliver.
"Quick Hits News" features 5 or 6 correspondents who exchange reporting with each other "live" from their home studios, Each show is usually under 15 minutes and covers the top 10-12 stories across the U.S. and around the globe. T
he news is straight, succinct, fast, b-s free, and doesn't waste viewer’s time. In addition to the live ensemble, the show also features short taped pieces from field correspondents.
I don’t know about you, but they might be onto something.
