A former large market News Director and VP of News for an O&O sent along this email to FTVLive:

I really miss the days when reporters just reported.

No selfies, no political posts, no posts as influencers selling clothing while working covering news.

Where is management/leadership?

They seem absent in many cases protecting the station’s brand.

Another TV newsie weighed in with this:

Wow. Markina Brown doubles down on the biased political tweets after your story. Hell, I agree our president is a wacko too but when you work for a tv news organization,  you have to keep it to yourself. 

As for KCBS, they seem to have no problem with Brown sharing her political feelings.

Can other staffers at the station or at other CBS O&O’s do the same?
