The GOP in Jacksonville sent out a media release saying that, “It is time for Jacksonville to come together.”

The release went out to say that having the Republican National Convention will give the city “national exposure”, “create jobs”, “fill hotel rooms”, and show the world that Jacksonville can deliver.

A half hour after the GOP sent out that release, President Donald Trump said that they are canceling the convention in Jacksonville. Trump said that Jacksonville was a “hot spot” when it comes to the coronavirus and it was not the “right time” to hold a convention in Florida.

It might have been nice if the right hand informed the left hand of what was happening.
