COVID-19 at DC Station
Sources tell FTVLive that an internal memo went out to the staff at Tegna’s WUSA (DC) informing them that an employee that works on the morning newscast, may have the rona.
WUSA General Manager Richard Dyer sent out a memo that said that the employee, who he did not name, believed that they had the virus and is now waiting back on test results.
Insiders say that WUSA Morning Anchor Tony Perkins has been off for weeks on vacation and WUSA has been rotating people in and out on the morning show to fill-in anchor.
Doesn’t seem like the best idea in a pandemic.
Maybe the Tegna station should pick one person to fill in for Perkins and stick with that person for everyone’s safety.
Also, who the hell in TV news gets weeks off for vacation?
Just asking…
