Reaction to the Response to the Response

Yesterday, FTVLive posted a vlog in which we showed KVOA (Tucson) Reporter Austin Walker calling out FTVLive.

We also responded to his response.

Needless to say, why got a lot of emails and text about our vlog and thought we would share some with you.

Email:

THANK YOU, Scott! Everything you said in response to his video was spot on. Everything I felt, you said! He needs a bit of humility. Did getting a job in Tucson inflate his ego even more than the money he and/or his family has? He should've gone to Yuma. Also, the obvious looking down at a "script" made it disingenuous? Is it just me?

Anyway - I want to say thanks for saying out loud everything that was in my head, haha!

A few comments from a 30+ year tv newser...

1) That was by far your best vlog yet. Loved it. Laughed out loud.

2) This business is not for Austin. Harsh I know but it won’t end well for him. He should find something else to do. You can’t be that thin skinned and survive and hope to move up to bigger markets. He came across like a whiny entitled teenager

3) Get a haircut

Scott,
Great VLOG responding to the young journalist’s response.

You responded well. I give him credit for making his video about you even though this shouldn’t be his focus so early on his career. However, he’s showing courage. He will be bumped down a notch in this industry in due time. I see it coming.  We all need that in our careers.

I have been mentioned on your site 2-3 in the last two years. My stations and companies certainly have. It’s crazy when I see those mentions. Fortunately, your posts about me have been positive. If they were bad, I’d probably write you to acknowledge it and say touché. I don’t know. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Thanks for the site.

And then there is this response by Walker to a post on Twitter:

Who is trying to change you Austin?

Certainly not me, I could use the material.

Lastly, I will give you one more bit of advice Austin and you can take it for what it’s worth:

Hundreds of thousands of people have died from the coronavirus and many more are going to. A number of people working in TV have lost a loved one. People have lost their jobs, some have lost their houses. Parents are trying to decide if they should risk sending their kids back to school, and the end of this pandemic is nowhere in sight.

So, tweeting about the fact that your vacation to St. Thomas got canceled and you can’t go to the fair, trust me, it’s not a good look:

Anyway, if you haven’t seen the vlog, here it is:
