Employees at Paxton’s WPSD in Paducah, KY are being told that they can not go an get a coronavirus test without permission from the station’s general manager.

“Is that even legal?” one station staffer asks in an email to FTVLive.

Here is the internal memo that was sent to the staff from GM Bill Evans, informing them that they need his permission before getting tested. He also advises the staff that all tested employees are expected to call him with their results.

I don’t know about you, but if I wake up coughing my head off and feeling awful. I’m going to get a test and not wait for my GM to approve it.

Also, it appears that the station was so short on staff, that they canceled their morning newscast.
