That Didn't Last Long
Black News Channel is having some tough growing pains and it appears that the executive shakeup is continuing.
The channel was delayed in its on-air launch a couple of times, before finally going live back in February.
In April, FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that BNC’s CEO Bob Brillante was gone from the company.
Now, BNC General Manager Frank Watson is headed to the exit.
This is the email sent out to the staff and obtained by FTVLive:

Subject: Frank Watson has resigned as General Manager of Black News Channel
All:
I’ve never been one to “bury the lead” so I’ll just jump to it. Frank Watson has announced his retirement, and June 1st will be his last day in the office.
Frank’s journey with this project began back in 2004 when we filed for the Florida Limited Liability Corporation named Black Television News Channel LLC and he took on the title of General Manager, which he has held since.
In his resignation, Frank said “the time has come for me to hand the baton to others who can carry the journey forward and accomplish the mission that we have had from the beginning. Continue to move us forward, team! I’ll be watching.”
JC Watts, Chairman
BNC hasn’t been on the air for 3 months yet and the GM is “retiring.”
Sources think that the next shoe to drop will be Vice President Of Programming and News Gary Wordlaw.
Stay tuned…
