Popular KCBS/KCAL Photographer/Reporter Stu Mundel has left the station.

The station called him a “cult hero” in numerous sweeps stories they did about him in recent years.Mundel has removed all references to CBS-LA from his Twitter bio and from his Facebook account.

He hasn’t said what his next plans are?

Here is the internal memo sent out to the staff from News Director Tara Finestone and obtained by FTVLive:

Stu Mundel has decided to resign from KCBS/KCAL. We thank Stu for his many years of reporting I Sky2/9. And we wish him well in his next adventure.
