Just a few hours after FTVLive broke the news that Tegna was going to furlough their workforce, Gray kicked some sand in Tegna’s face.

Yesterday, FTVLive FIRST showed you the memo that was sent to Gray employees, telling them that the company foresees no furloughs or layoffs while the country goes through the COVID pandemic.

While many saw it as a total slap in the face of Tegna, one Gray employee was very relieved to get the memo.

“I’m glad Gray responded people were getting nervous',” an Anchor at a Gray station said to FTVLive.
