Kari Lake is at it Again

KSAZ (Phoenix) Anchor Kari Lake is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Lake, who has said that she thinks talking about grabbing women by the pussy is not a big deal and is just locker room talk, is catching some heat for sharing and commenting on a debunked coronavirus video on social media.

Lake, who was named one of the worst people in TV news by FTVLive, made a post on Twitter to spotlight a recent viral video in which two California doctors promote lifting the shelter-in-place order in the state — doctors whose claims have been roundly criticized by health care professionals.

In a joint statement posted Monday, April 27, two leading emergency medicine organizations called the claims “reckless and untested musings” that are “inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19.”

The video was posted to YouTube and was pulled down for a violation of its terms of service.

The Arizona Republic writes, “That removal may be a clue, you’d think, that something is amiss, that maybe a news anchor shouldn’t even give the appearance of throwing support behind such a theory. Nope. Instead, Lake noted YouTube’s action in a followup tweet and provided a link to the briefing on Facebook.”

Some on Twitter questioned Lake for sharing the video:

The local paper wrote, “The bigger and more damning pushback against the doctors’ claims comes from health professionals, including a statement by the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians, which says the groups “jointly and emphatically condemn the recent opinions released by Dr. Daniel Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi.

“These reckless and untested musings do not speak for medical society and are inconsistent with current science and epidemiology regarding COVID-19. As owners of local urgent care clinics, it appears these two individuals are releasing biased, non-peer reviewed data to advance their personal financial interests without regard for the public’s health.”

For years, Lake has shown to be a biased Anchor.

This is just the latest example.
