Back in February, Tegan’s WKYC announced that Laura Caso was joining Russ Mitchell as co-anchor of the 6 PM newscast.

Insiders say that Caso has been M-I-A from the station this week and she has gone silent on Twitter (her last post was April 17th). Her bio is also missing from the “Meet the Team” page.

I can’t believe even Tegna would have gotten rid of her after just a few weeks.

My guess, and this is just a guess, is Caso is serving out her Tegna furlough week.

The May book started this week, so you know, it makes perfect sense to have your new Anchor off as the book starts up.

Then again…..this is Tegna.
