Yesterday, the Cox station here in Jacksonville was supposed to do a story on my backyard golf course during their newscast.

Action News Jax Sports Anchor Brent Martineau stopped by the FTVLive World Headquarters and after clearing security, he spent a couple of hours in my backyard and we played Angel Country Club.

Brent texted me yesterday to say that the story would be running about 5:45 in the Action News Jax newscast.

I tuned in and saw a tease for the story and then just as they were coming out of the commercial break to do the story, they cut away to Donald Trump and his daily c̶a̶m̶p̶a̶i̶g̶n̶ ̶c̶o̶m̶m̶e̶r̶c̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶ COVID-19 press briefing.

Yep, I was bumped by Donald Trump.

Martineau said that the story would run in the late newscasts on WFOX and WJAX, but since I had to get up at 1 AM, I wasn’t going to be able to see it.

I looked online this morning and it does not appear to be in their lineup. A look at local news shows the same story 3 times, but none of them was the FTVLive story.

What sucks is I had all my Emmys lined up behind me during the interview too.

Thanks Trump.

Update: Word is the story didn’t run in the late news either. No word on if it ever will. No respect, I tell ya, no respect at all.
