It appears that Sinclair’s KEYE (Austin) finally got around to doing a deep clean at the station.

KEYE General Manager Amy Villarreal sent an internal email to the staff that included pictures of crews cleaning the station.

But, station insiders tell FTVLive that many staffers have been asking for this for quite some time.

Villarreal says that the station is being “proactive”, but one insider says not quite. “I wouldn’t call this ‘proactive’. We’ve been asking them to do this for a month now for all the anchors and producers that still work in the building. Whenever people would ask for a deep clean they’d just say our cleaning crew is using stronger disinfectant but never said what it was. Could have been Windex for all we know,” said the insider to FTVLive.

Here is the internal memo sent to the staff, obtained by FTVLive and also seems to be a plug for the cleaners.
