There is a lot of head-scratching going on at Nexstar’s WCMH in Columbus.

The station has hired Brad Johansen and word is he will be anchoring the 4, 5PM newscasts.

Johansen was an Anchor at WKRC in Cincinnati a couple of years ago but left the station to go to WRAL (Raleigh) where he didn’t last long.

After just weeks at the station, Johansen was dumped by WRAL.

“There was a personnel matter and we handled it immediately,” WRAL GM Joel Davis said at the time. “Brad Johansen is no longer with the station.”

He was on the beach for almost a year and now starts next week on the air at WCMH.

But, that has some inside and outside WCMH wondering what is happening with popular Anchor Mark Taylor?

Taylor was anchoring the 4 and 5PM newscasts and he is loved in the market.

Taylor is one of the most engaged talents in Columbus on social media. He hasn’t posted to his Facebook page since it was announced that Johansen was hired.

He also hasn’t shown up to work since then either.

So what’s going on?

Also, what happened In Raleigh that got Johansen kicked to the curb after just weeks at the station"?

Johansen is slated to start on the air on Monday. As for Taylor? We don’t know what’s happening?
