FTVLive told you that Chicago weather legend Tom Skilling was taking time off to undergo gastric bypass surgery to battle his ongoing weight problem.

Skilling had the surgery this week and although he says that the surgery took a little longer than expected, all is well and he is now home recovering.

He even posted a picture that I’m sure will come back to haunt him for years to come.
