And Then There is This Reporter (Are You Kidding Me?!)
FTVLive showed you the internal memo sent to Scripps employees, telling them if they travel to a country that the CDC deems high risk for the coronavirus, they will be expected to “ self-quarantine for 14 days, using your PTO, when you return to the country and prior to coming back to the office. If you do not have enough PTO to cover the self-quarantine period, your time off will be unpaid.”
Well, guess who is looking at a lot of time off?
KSTU (Salt Lake City) Reporter Elle Thomas.
It seems that despite the fact that the CDC says that Italy is a hot zone right now for the virus, Thomas and her beau are off on a trip to…..you guess it….Italy.
Thomas posted on her social media that shockingly her plane to Italy is almost completely empty.
Under the new Scripps restrictions, Thomas will get another 2 weeks off from work when she returns.
That means her co-workers will not just have to cover for her while she’s on vacation, but when she is asked to spend another two weeks at home before coming back.
And, let’s be honest, does anyone really think that she is going to “self-quarantine” on her return?
I’m thinking no and she will be out and about in Salt Lake City.
Kids these days….
