This week FTVLive is buying (or attempting to buy) lunch for TV newsies.

On Monday, were were able to buy lunch for the gang at WRIC in Richmond. On Tuesday, we bought lunch for a Reporter and her three kids that are stuck in their house (she did not want to be named for fear her boss would be mad).

As we call around to TV station trying to buy them lunch, most have policies in place that is not allowing community food (like pizza) in the newsroom. We did buy the Reporter and her kids Chipotle yesterday.

So, we will try something else, if you’re stuck at home and want us to buy you lunch, do us an email. If we pick you, all we ask is that you tip the delivery person well.

Our idea behind this is helping TV news people out, supporting businesses around the country and getting a few bucks in the hands of the delivery people.

A Photographer in Tulsa has offered to pony up $50 of his own money to keep this thing going into next week. If we get enough responses from you guys, we will take him up on the offer and try to continue this for a bit longer.

It is a very small thing, but at this point businesses need every dollar they can get and helping put money in the hands of those people bringing meals to people is a good thing.
