FTVLive sent over a few pizzas to the Nexstar’s WRIC (Richmond) as our way of trying to thank news crews for reporting on the story and to help businesses that are getting hit hard right now.

We bought the food and we asked the station to tip the delivery person well.

WRIC GM Larry Cottrill dug into his wallet and tipped the person delivering the pizza, the restaurant got some business and a few tired newsies got a free lunch.

I call that a win all the way around.

I was going to send food over to KVUE (Austin) but GM Kristie Gonzales said that most of the staff is working remotely and that the company rules for dealing with the virus means that can’t have community food that is shared.

So, today FTVLive picked a newsie that is working remotely from home and also tending to her 3 kids. If she doesn’t deserve a free lunch no one does.

Once again, we’re buying the food, we just ask that you tip the driver well.

It’s a small thing, but we are all in this together.
