BREAKING! Atlanta Station Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
An employee at Meredith WGCL in Atlanta has tested positive for the coronavirus and staff members are worried.
The staff got a memo that does not name the employee, which makes it harder for people in the station to know if they had contact with the staffer while they were at work.
HIPAA privacy rules do not allow the station to tell employees who the infected employee is. It is those rules that make it harder for co-workers to know if they have been exposed.
If you do get infected, it might really help your co-workers out if you post your positive results to social media, so others can take appropriate action. The station can’t say anything, but you can.
Our advice is to keep others informed and it can surely help stop the spread.
