While I know many of you are now not going into the station, I also know that many of you still are.

Most Producers and Assignment Editors are still entering the station to do their work from a largely empty newsroom.

I want to do something to help those people still in the station working hard to keep the public informed.

I want to buy you guys lunch.

Let’s face it, the economy is getting wrecked right now and people are getting scared not only of the virus but how they are going to pay their bills.

So, I figure, if I can buy you guys lunch, it will at least help a local business in your area and also feed you hard working newsies that are tasked with keeping viewers informed about what is happening.

Each day this week, I will randomly pick a station and send over lunch. I’ll pick up the tab, all I ask is that you guys tip the delivery person nicely.

It is a very small way we can help out a local business and the people working there.

Today, I have picked WRIC in Richmond and will be sending lunch over a bit later today.

I know it’s not much, but anything that can help business and the economy is something.
