As another CBS staffer tested positive for the coronavirus, CBS has closed up the CBS Broadcast Center in New York as cleaners are coming in to disinfect the building.

Last night’s New York’s local newscast on WCBS newscasts originated 3,000 away.

KCBS in Los Angeles had their Anchors do the newscast for New York and they tossed to WCBS Reporters on the street back in NYC.

The problem, is CBS going to close up the building each and every time someone that works inside tests positive for the virus.

If so, they are going to be spending a fortune on cleaning bills over the next several weeks. More staff are going to get the virus.

Stations need to come up with better plans.

Maybe divide the staff into smaller groups and have them work out of designated areas, maybe even off-site. Assign news crews a car and have that be their office and not have them come back into the building.
