On March 3rd, FTVLive told you that longtime WCNC (Charlotte) News Director Matt King was leaving the Tegna station after 15 years.

He will resurface at a station that is known to go through News Directors like water.

Meredith’s WGCL (Atlanta) has announced that King will be the station’s next News Director, replacing Steve Doerr who left for a GM job.

King’s first order of business should be to teach his main news Anchor where the state of Georgia is located on a map.
