We have heard from a number of people at Tegna’s First Coast News that seem to think things are a bit unfair in the newsroom.

News Director Joe Inderhees is married to Lauren Inderhees who also happens to work on the station’s Assignment Desk.

Staffers tell FTVLive that Lauren seems to be absent from the station quite often and is allowed to “work from home.”

“She has called out sick a lot,” says one station insider. “Why can’t other employees work from home?,” another staffer asks.

Some staffers think that she takes advantage of having her husband as the News Director and guess what?

The last Assignment Manager just quit and guess who gets the promotion.

Yep…. Lauren Inderhees just got promoted to a manager role.

Here is the internal email sent to the staff by Assistant News Director Annie Hammock, because I guess her husband sending an email about promoting his wife, would just seem a bit weird.

Tegna has slide headfirst down a slippery slope and right or not, many on staff perceive this as a problem and that is never a good thing.
