It is always nice to hear that there are some cool people in this business.

KTNV (Las Vegas) Anchor Kelsey McFarland worked a mega shift of Christmas Eve to help her co-workers have some time off.

McFarland solo anchored ALL the newscasts at the Scripps station on Christmas Eve starting at 4:30 AM and ending at 11:35 PM.

Here's the breakdown of those newscasts:

From 4:30 AM to 7 AM; 11 AM to Noon; 3 PM to 4 PM; 5 PM to 7 PM; and 11 PM to 11:35 PM. That amounts to 7 and a half hours of anchor time for the broadcast day.

In addition, she also did the weather anchoring chores for the morning and mid-day news, too.
