Oh, About Those Rigged Voting Machines....

If anyone has watched Fox News or their lesser cousins Nexmax and OAN since the election loss of their leader Donald Trump, you might believe that the machines used to cast the votes were all rigged for Joe Biden.

Countless hosts and guests have appeared on conservative media to say that the election was rigged and many pointed to the voting machines that were used.

Well, the people that own the voting machines, companies like Smartmatic and Dominion have grown a bit tired of being accused of fraud and now they have gotten their lawyers involved.

Yesterday, FTVLive showed you how Fox was trying to smooth over the misstatements of Lou Dobbs and others at Fox Business and Fox News and now Newsmax is backing off the fraud claims.

Axios writes that Newsmax host John Tabacco, the latest to issue an on-air clarification, said on Monday's broadcast: "Since Election Day, various guests, attorneys, and elected officials have appeared on Newsmax and offered opinions and claims about Smartmatic and Dominion Systems. ... Newsmax would like to clarify its news coverage and note that it has not reported as 'true' certain claims made about these companies."

They added, Tabacco went on to say Newsmax has "no evidence" of multiple claims aired on its network, including that Dominion and Smartmatic have a business relationship, that Dominion uses Smartmatic software or vice versa, or that "Dominion or Smartmatic used software or reprogrammed software that manipulated votes in the 2020 election."

This one sounds like it is written straight by the Newsmax lawyers:

While making claims that the election was rigged against Trump might make for great right-wing television, the truth is it didn’t happen.

And now that the lawyers have come calling, it looks like they are ready to admit that.

But, while Fox News and Newsmax seem to be backing off the claims of fraud, OAN is still holding on to the claims.
