Despite the fact Meredith laid off nearly 200 people across their stations and told employees that there was a hiring freeze, their Nashville station has a number of open jobs posted.

WSMV rid themselves of a number of high-priced on-air staffers and now seems to be on a hiring spree.

The station has posted no less than 7 new jobs in the past 28 days.

I guess the term “hiring freeze doesn’t mean the same thing that it used to.

I don’t know about you, but if I was one of those kicked to the curb by Meredith, I would be pissed.
