Cox Lands Back on the Dish
After a 4 month pissing match, the Cox stations have come to an agreement with the Dish Network and have returned to the lineup.
At the time, Dish said, “We don’t understand why Apollo (Cox owner) is choosing to put customers in the middle of its negotiations, especially during a global pandemic when customers need access to local news and programming,” Dish executive Andy LeCuyer said in a press release. “We have offered to apply our current agreement — with higher rates — to keep their channels available and avoid any service interruption while we continue to negotiate, but they refused, demanding a 40-percent increase to rates agreed to last year. We want to come to a long-term agreement that is fair for our customers.”
Now, the two sides have come to an agreement, the details of which will not be made public, and soon customers of Dish will see their bill rise yet again.
