I Might Have the 'Rona
As you know, the Dakotas have been hit hard with outbreaks of the coronavirus and it appears that a number of the state leaders still don’t seem to care.
KNBN (Rapid City, SD) Anchor Eric Greene now has a fear that he might have COVID and he says a State Senator could be the reason.
“I went to the South Dakota capitol on Tuesday to cover Gov. Noem's budget address. Afterward, I interviewed 2 lawmakers with masks, and one state senator, Helene Duhamel (former anchor at KOTA-TV) from Rapid City who was unmasked. My photog and I both had or masks on,” Greene tells FTVLive.
“We interviewed her after the speech for abut 10 minutes.. 3-6 feet away… and today Sen. Duhamel announced she tested positive. I have not heard from her, but I did get a call from the Senate’s Democratic Whip, Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls, to make sure I knew. We had interviewed Helene right before we interview Nesiba.. who was masked. What’s also crazy is, by my estimate, 60% of the legislators in the joint session in the house chamber were sans mask. Nesiba says he’s concerned for when the legislative session begins in January,” he adds.
Greene tells FTVLive, “I'm not overly nervous, but more than a little. Definitely pissed.”
I don’t blame him.
Wear the damn mask people!
