This person says they gave Nexstar’s News Nation a chance and they are so done with it.

I gave News Nation three months. That’s enough time to let it figure out what it wants to be. And what it wants to be is simply an ego project for Perry Sook and Sean Compton. There is no compelling reason to tune in. News Nation offers nothing by 8pm that all of us did not have access to all day long. And that is now apparent in the ratings.
The shrapnel caused by this bomb is the real tragedy. Forcing Nexstar stations to lose CNN and go to war with their own networks over video was embarrassingly short sighted and hurts each local news department. Some of those local news departments like KTLA and WGN have much bigger audiences than News Nation.
Now Nexstar is in another retransmission fight largely due to demands to carry WGN America. Nexstar should remember that this ego driven decision making over a barely watched cable channel is what brought on the end of Tribune. Letting your stations go dark during the height of a pandemic sends a strong message of what your company is really all about. And it’s not serving your viewership.

You have done it! I always thought I was a bit too old for the “podcast demographic” but you have changed that.
