The President is Dying, or Maybe Not
On Friday, Donald Trump was airlifted to Walter Reed Medical Center, and depending on which cable news station you are watching, you might be a bit confused as to the health of the President.
If you’re watching CNN, you might believe that Trump is at death’s door.
If you are watching Fox News, you might believe that Trump is about to jog out of Walter Reed and run back to the White House in DC.
It doesn’t help that Trump’s doctors are not being forthright with the facts surrounding Trump’s health and his personal doctor basically admitted that he lied in one of his press conferences about the heath of the President.
But, it is amazing how cable news is not giving facts, but cherry-picking the parts that fit their political narrative.
You would hope that with the President of the United States laying in a hospital bed, that cable news would turn down the rhetoric a bit and maybe stick to facts.
They are just trying to “read between the lines” and what they are reading is the part that fits their narrative.
I know that it is hard to report the story when Trump and his team often lie and don’t give the truth, but stick with the facts that you know and try and gather more. Don’t just fill in the blanks with your political narrative.
If you want to read between the lines of cable news reporting, I would think that Trump is somewhere in the middle of dying and ready to run a marathon.
COVID is a nasty thing and the next 5 days will really show us where Trump is in fighting this virus.
I do know that he has a very large team of doctors and nurses that are taking care of him. He is also getting the drugs that many people that are fighting COVID can’t get, or afford.
In the time that Trump announced that he had COVID, thousands of people around the world have died from the virus and thousands upon thousands more have found out they have it.
While people are focusing on the President, maybe we should take time out to remember these people that don’t get the drugs and don’t have a team of experts to personally take care of only them.
And to all the doctors and nurses that have to focus on many patients and not just one guy, thank you for all you are doing!
