Yesterday, FTVLive told you how KTUL Chief Meteorologist Dan Threlkeld posted to social media that he was “coming out” and while it poked fun at Gay people that are faced with a life-changing decision, Threlkeld was “coming out” as a vegan.

It was a tasteless move (pardon the pun) and a number of you people though is was classless as well.

If I was this guy’s News Director, I would tell him to apologize and then suspend him.

This is a Sinclair station, what did you expect?

The self loathing and trauma associated with coming out as gay drives people to substance abuse and even suicide. 

Until the recent Supreme Court ruling, you could be fired in Oklahoma for being a member of the LGBTQ community. 

It takes a lot to offend me (when you work in TV you can’t exactly be thin skinned) but for a straight man to equate a deeply traumatic event for many people to a lack of dairy and meat in his diet, and then ramble on about it for two paragraphs (BTW who cares?) is the very definition of offensive, out of touch, and “all about me TV.”
