The Virus Enters San Francisco Station
Sources tell FTVLive that the staff at KTVU have gotten an email from management that someone on the staff has tested positive for the coronavirus.
A station insider tells FTVLive, “We've been more locked down and had less staff in the building than any other station in town so it's pretty chilling to know that despite our managements best efforts to keep us safe (and they've really been extra decent about it compared to other shops) we're still at risk,” the staffer said, adding, “Scary shit.”
Scary indeed and there is still no end in sight.
As the November book nears, FTVLive continues to hear about stations that are relaxing their COVID plans and requiring more people to start coming back into the stations.
I know it’s been months, I know everyone is tired of it. But, the coronavirus is still very much with us and is on the rise again. For the safety of your employees, I beg stations to continue to follow the guidelines and not start bringing people back.
I know this is a tough one for TV management to wrap their head around, but, lives are still more important than ratings.
