Last week, FTVLive told you that Nexstar sent out a press release saying that they are going to start on-air daily broadcasts of the National Anthem.

Nexstar says that it will air a new singer/songwriter series featuring a daily broadcast of the U.S. National Anthem performed by a variety of emerging artists.

We jokingly ended our story by saying, “OK….How long before they sell sponsorships for this?”

Of course, no one would be crass enough to try and make money off the National Anthem?

Right?

WRONG!

We are talking about Nexstar, and yes they have sold sponsorships. And here is the proof:
