You want to know how bad it has gotten with mass shootings?

Joaquin Oliver was one of those that were killed in the Parkland school shooting here in Florida.

Yesterday, his parents were in El Paso to help unveil a memorial mural in memory to the Parkland victims when the shooting happened at a nearby Walmart.

Manuel and Patricia Oliver say it is time for the politicians to stop talking and starting doing. “You need to talk about guns, right now. You cannot wait because ‘it is too early to talk about guns,’ and not say ‘thoughts and prayer’ as an answer. Don’t do that,” Manuel Oliver said. “This advice is coming from the parents of a victim from Parkland.”

The sad part, mass shootings 20 people were killed in this shooting and almost 30 injured. By the time Monday rolls around, the media will have mostly moved on from this story.

I can remember when a shooting like Columbine happened, the story was covered for months.

Now a mass shooting happens and it’s a package in the newscast and move on.

These are the times in which we live.

Update: There was another mass shooting with at least 9 dead in Dayton, Ohio early this morning. It wasn’t even 24 hours since the last mass shooting.
