Back in July, FTVLive FIRST told you that Sinclair’s WJLA in DC had laid off Investigative Reporter Nathan Baca.

Baca had joined the last place station two years ago from WBNS in Columbus and was a solid Reporter for the station, often covering stories about government mismanagement, waste and fraud.

Well, Baca is about to resurface.

Sources tell FTVLive that Baca starts today at Tegna’s WUSA in DC.

It sucks to get laid off, but when you land a new gig in the same market and don’t have to move, that is a huge relief.

I don’t think that WUSA has announced his hiring yet, so when they do, try to act surprised.
