Back in April, FTVLive told you that former CBS 60 Minutes Correspondent Lara Logan was joining Sinclair to file reports from the U.S./Mexico border.

At the time of her announced hiring, Sinclair said that the hiring was temporary and they hoped it might become more.

Word is that Sinclair approached Logan about becoming a full-time employee with the conservative broadcaster, but it is not what she wanted.

Sources say Sinclair wanted to “own” Logan and that was not in her plans.

Logan is said to like being an independent contractor and Sinclair wants more than that.

Look for the two sides to agree to part ways in the near future.
