Finally!
On Friday, FTVLive FIRST told you that cops had clamped the cuffs on Robert Stevenson who was an Executive Producer at Fox owned WAGA in Atlanta.
Stevenson was arrested after police set up a child sex sting.
Stevenson was arrested a couple weeks ago, but until FTVLive did the story, WAGA seemed to completely ignore the news of their EP’s arrest. The arrest went down somewhere between July 29th and August 2nd.
Yet the station did not report the story until almost 9 hours after FTVLive posted the story on Friday.
If you checked WAGA’s website on Friday, on the front page, you saw a story about a teacher arrested on child-molestation charges. You also saw a story of a sex offender that took up-skirt photos of women.
Here’s a screenshot:
Buried deep on the WAGA website was a story about the arrest of their Executive Producer, which was not posted until after 3PM on Friday and days after his arrest.
They refer to Stevenson as a “former employee” at the station.
In other words, they had time to fire him, but did not have time to do a story about his arrest. That is until FTVLive posted the story on Friday morning.
Yes gang, we are holding the powerful accountable and we are coverage you can count on.
Oh! By the way, now that WAGA has finally posted the story on their EP’s arrest, you should finally see the story on the other TV blogs. FTVLive breaks the news, while the others wait for the press release.
