New Name, Same Greed
Over the weekend, FTVLive canceled our DirecTV Now streaming account.
When we signed up for the small bundle of stations, it was costing us about $45 bucks a month. That price grew over and over and I was soon paying $70+ bucks a month for a service that I watched maybe twice a month.
So, we canceled the account and guess what? We get an email saying that if we sign back up, we get a couple of months free and then our bill will be dropped by over $20 if we stay one.
But, why do you have to cancel to get these offers?
I’m not going back and will be signing back up.
Then yesterday, I got an email from DirecTV saying they will not be called DirecTV for much longer.
They are changing their name to AT&T TV Now and promise the same “great service.”
The name may change but the greed and price hikes will likely stay the same.
You can change your name all you want…..I’m still out.
Here’s the email:
