New Hire in Denver

Lori Jane Gliha

Tribune’s KDVR in Denver has made a new hire and claims to be beefing up their investigative team.

The station has hired Lori Jane Gliha who was working on the news magazine program Insight with John Ferrugia on Rocky Mountain PBS. Before that she was a correspondent for the now defunct Al Jazeera America.

Here is the internal email sent out by KDVR Assistant News Director Linda Kicak. It seems that KDVR News Director Brian Gregory and General Manager Joan Barrett have stopped sending out internal emails, because they kept ending up on FTVLive.

So now, Kicak is tasked with the job:

I’m excited to announce Lori Jane Gliha will be joining our team as an Investigative Reporter starting Wednesday, July 31st.

The last two years Lori Jane was the Investigative Correspondent for Rocky Mountain PBS. Before that she spent three years as a National Correspondent for Al Jazeera in Washington DC and ten years with KNXV in Phoenix AZ as a reporter, anchor and investigative reporter.

Lori Jane has an impressive resume with many honors and awards. The list includes a 2018 Gracie Award, a 2016 National Headliner, and multiple Colorado Broadcasters Association nods, Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy Awards as well as Heartland Emmy Awards. In fact she won her most recent Emmy Saturday night in the Investigative/Talent-Reporter category.

Lori joins Rob Low, Chris Koeberl, Carisa Scott, Serena Ung & Noah Skinner on the Problem Solvers I-Team. A LOT of experience in this group! We think this is a really strong commitment to investigative journalism. Our goal remains the same – help win the BIG STORY, and do thorough investigations that affect change in our community.

Linda Kicak
Assistant News Director
