Another Cleveland Anchor is Dead
Over the weekend, FTVLive told you that legendary Cleveland Anchor Fred Griffith had passed way at the age of 90.
Now, word has come down that another longtime Cleveland Anchor has passed.
WEWS reports that former Anchor Jeff Maynor passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 75.
Maynor’s first television job was at WKBN-TV in Youngstown, Ohio. He came to the Cleveland area where he first worked at WJW. He then became the 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. co-anchor at WEWS alongside Ted Henry, a position he held for much of the early 1980s.
After his time at WEWS, Maynor left TV to go work at Lakeland Community College in a communications position.
In 1993, Maynor returned to television at WKYC where he would anchor weekend mornings for 18 years, retiring in 2011.
