When TV stations first launched apps, they only sent out push alerts when it was a breaking story and warranted.

But now, it seems they clog up people’s phones with even the must mundane news.

This was the push alert sent out by Tribunes KDVR in Denver:

Now, no one loves pets more than I do, but is this really a worth a push alert?

Also, this is coming from a Tribune station, as the person that sent it to us said, “What…are we Tegna now?”
