Crossing The Street in Rochester?
WROC (Rochester, NY) Chief meteorologist Stacey Pensgen announced that she is leaving the station next week and added, “I have decided not to renew my contract when it is up this month,” she wrote. But, “I am not leaving TV and I am not leaving Rochester.”
Back in May, WROC placed an ad for a Chief Met, despite the fact that job had been Pensgen’s for the past 3 years.
Fired Rochester Weatherman Jeremy Kappell says that he applied for the job.
As for Pensgen, is she headed to Kappell’s old station or some other station in the market?
She promised to “share more about the next chapter of my career here in Rochester in the coming weeks.”
